This is by far the best pixel height golf rangefinder in the app store!!

O.K. So you don’t want to register with a server and you don’t want to pay a lot of money for a gps layout of every course in the world. And let’s say you aren’t interested in keeping statistics on every round BUT – Let’s say;

YOU JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW FAR THE FLAG IS!!!!!

Here’s what you do: Take out your phone and press on Golf Ranger. Select the target – usually a 6.5 foot flag stick – and snap a photo. DONE!! the flag is exactly 52 Yards away. If you are me, that’s 90 per cent of my loft wedge.

What makes this rangefinder the best?

Other golf scopes and range finders assume a 6.5 foot flag. There are actually four DIFFERENT FLAG HEIGHTS and Golf Ranger allows you to calibrate for that!

Other rangefinders are garbage outside of 30 yards as pixel height becomes so small. Not Golf Ranger. Golf Ranger starts with a full zoom photo AND THEN If you tap on the background photo you can easily zoom into the photo, move it around to center it and find the range for distant greens.

GPS systems will give you the center of the green but Golf Ranger gives you distance to the cup – and we all know what a difference five yards can be with a wedge in your hands!

Now let’s say you can’t see the flag. That’s O.K. with Golf Ranger. This app has other common targets from around the golf course besides just flags. With the click of a button you can size up trees, people and even a golf cart.

Other rangefinders may require you to line up your photo with lines on the screen but not this one. You can move the images around, move the range lines around and move the background around. Just put your finger on whatever part of the interface you want to move!

MOST IMPORTANTLY – Golf Ranger doesn’t just use lines to range images. You can select the images themselves! Either or, it’s up to you!!! Check out the screen shots for a sneak peek. (Sorry the photos are a little grainy but all golf courses are closed here so I had to improvise pictures of pictures)
